About

I’m the author of Understanding Crypto Fundamentals and a frequent speaker at events on blockchain, Bitcoin, and cryptoasset valuation methods. In particular, I enjoy sharing crypto knowledge and insights in an accessible way for diverse audiences.

I studied economics and computer science, earning master’s degrees from the Catholic University of Louvain and Maastricht University, as well as an MBA from INSEAD. Over my 10-year career in finance, I gathered the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) and Financial Risk Manager® (FRM) certifications, along with multiple blockchain certifications from esteemed institutions such as INSEAD and Oxford University.

After changing my country of residence 12 times since Bitcoin’s inception in 2009, I now live in Vienna, Austria, where I pursue my passion for triathlons (full Ironman European Championship 2017 finisher) with my wife Stefanie and our children.
